Hesch Scholarship
When Wayne E. Hesch (AMOA President 1978-79) passed away in 1983 at the age of 43, AMOA honored his commitment to education by establishing a scholarship in his name. This would later become a catalyst and flagship program for Coin-Op Cares. AMOA Coin-Op Cares will be awarding $60,000 in Wayne E. Hesch Scholarships for 2026-2027, with award amounts making a more meaningful impact for students pursuing higher education. The following scholarship amounts will be awarded:
It is important for students to fill out and submit complete applications postmarked by February 20, 2026, and provide official transcripts to the AMOA office no later than February 27, 2026. A confirmation will be sent upon receipt of a student's application and will indicate any items still outstanding. It will be the student's responsibility to follow up on any outstanding items needed for completion.
Since its inception in 1985, the Hesch Scholarship program has awarded more than $1.7 million in college scholarships to students from a variety of programs and schools across the country. 2026 - 2027 Hesch Scholarship Application
